Safeguarding - information and advice

As Christians we take special care when in situations involving young people or vulnerable adults.

The new Safeguarding requirements for Independant Safeguarding Authority (ISA) registration under the Vetting and Barring Scheme (VBS) is not to proceed for the moment. Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosures continue but using the new forms, available from Methodist Publishing.

Updated (16th June) guidance for completing the forms is available on The Churches Agency for Safeguarding website.

When completing the new forms ignore Q28 in Section A and Box D which relate to ISA registration.

CRB checks remain free for volunteers and the fee is £36 for workers.

All old forms should be destroyed.
